I’ve wanted/needed a pedalboard for months and months. Mostly to have a place to put the members of the “Impolite Pedal” series I’ve built (included such hits as the “Fuck Face” and “B00B R34M3R”). It’s a simple, but effective design. One long plank of wood cut into two, some wood menders (rectangles of metal with holes for screws to fasten them down) to hold the two planks together and corner braces to act as legs so the board stands up at an angle. I had some black spray paint on hand, so I pulled a Rolling Stones and — “Paint[ed] it Black” … Sorry. Then I covered it in velcro, duh. The white/black theme was a happy accident. I didn’t buy enough black velcro, but happened to have some white laying around from another project. It works well. The space between the planks is a great place to run wire through. My pedal power block fits nicely under the board so a lot of the power wires route out of sight. How to transport it for gigs (not that I have any coming) remains an unsolved problem.
